DevOps Lead/Architect

Job Description

REQUIREMENT

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering or computer science
• More than 8 years of Engineering experience with min. 5yrs of relevant experience
• DevOps experience and strong CI-CD implementation On various On-Premise, On VMs and on Cloud infra and extensively worked on GitLab.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Person who can drive the DevOps and Cloud initiatives in the organization as well for the client engagements and, build the DevOps competencies and lead the practice towards the transformation by having the roadmap.

• Architectural and Design level solutions for the DevOps implementations
• Assess and recommend the infrastructure requirements and provide infrastructure for the internal and external projects on VMs, on Private Clouds or on Public Clouds like AWS/Azure or Oracle clouds.
• Implement and own the CI/CD pipeline for various projects of on-premises and on-cloud
• Build OR recommend automation solutions for the infrastructure monitoring and prevent any issues/outages of the services,
• Ensure high availability of the systems with back-up, recovery and failover mechanisms and load balancing
• Lead and guide the team in identifying and implementing new technologies.
• Lead, mentor and guide the team in all DevOps & Cloud initiatives and implementations
• Ability to present and communicate well to the stakeholders on the solutions, approach, and the benefits.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Configuration Management experience such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar.
• Strong Linux system administration background using RHEL and Debian based systems.
• Knowledge of GIT branching strategy and management
• Build automation pipelines with open-source CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
• Experience in cloud computing (e.g., applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, data), as well as cloud market and competitive dynamics
• Experience and understanding of the network stack as it pertains to system engineering / architecture
• Working Knowledge of key mission-critical infrastructure such as Active Directory, VMWare, Linux, Storage (NAS, SAN), Relational Databases, VCS, VPN, VCN, Networking (Routing, Firewall, Load balancers), Web services (Nginx, Tomcat), File transferring (SFTP, FTP)
• linux - RHCE or RHCSA Level Knowledge
• Kubernetes - Hands on experience
• Terraform - Hands on experience.
• Scripting knowledge (Bash, Perl)
